Henry County Museum

Adair Annex and Museum Welcome Center

The Henry County Museum in Clinton, Missouri, offers visitors of all ages the opportunity to explore local heritage. From famous music personalities to the bravery of the military — the innovations of agriculture to the depths of coal mining — and the challenges of cooking at the turn of the 20th century to the charm of relaxing in a Victorian living room, there’s something for everyone to spark a fresh appreciation for the past.

You’ll experience:

  • Thousands of artifacts in over 50 artfully displayed exhibits.
  • An indoor, early 1900s village with a brick-paved Main Street lined with period establishments like a drug store, doctor’s office, saddle shop, bank, provisions store, law office, and barber shop.
  • See historic buildings, such as:
    • Anheuser-Busch Distribution Center (c. 1886) that is on the National Register of Historic Places
    • A dogtrot style log cabin (c. 1850)
    • A one-room schoolhouse (c. 1887)
    • Dorman House, the first and oldest two-story brick home in Henry County (c.1852)
