Black Shire Distillery

Explore an artisan distillery with German roots. Tucked into the scenic hills along the Missouri River on the historic Hermann Farm, Black Shire Distillery offers meticulously handcrafted spirits and a truly memorable experience.

Our distillery is located on an historic 1840s still site, and our distiller, Derek LeRoy, continues the tradition and legacy of German distilling as we craft small-batch, high-quality spirits. We offer bourbon, blended whiskey, an American gin, eau de vie, vodka, a best-selling blackberry whiskey and rye, which is our distiller’s favorite offering. Look for limited-release seasonal gins and vermouths as well as our cask-aged brandy to be released soon.

Our spirits are only available here, so please visit us and enjoy a taste during a tour of the Farm as you explore the grounds, or you may join us at our tasting room on Gutenberg Street at the Hofgarten, in downtown Hermann.
